Materials used: plaster cloth, gesso, acrylic paint, clear gloss coat, baked clay, necklace chain, broken glasses, ribbon, dried cattails
The March Hare is one of my favorite characters in Lewis Carroll's book, Alice in Wonderland. I have so far two masks that were inspired by Alice in Wonderland which includes the March Hare and the Mad Hatter, and also a sculpture of the sleepy dormouse, you can view them on my Masks and Sculpture page. I just thoroughly enjoy the zaniness of these characters, and they make me remember that sometimes it is healthy to make time to be carefree. I really had a fun time creating this plaster mask and hope you enjoy it too. Would you like a cup of hot tea?
