I am sure that you have noticed from looking through my artwork that I have this fasination with cephalopods. I do not remember when this began, but I have always found these creatures very fascinating, intelligent, and curious. While taking a geology class at Modesto Junior College, there was a section of the class about fossils. I was intrigued by the evolutionary history of the cephalopods, which dates back to 550 million years ago during the Cambrian period. I really enjoyed looking at Ammonite fossils, seeing their multichambered shells of several different shapes and sizes from the course of evolution over time, eventually straining off into an evolution of other groups of cephalopods such as the shell-less cuttlefish, octopus, and squids.
